Solventis is seeking an experienced and motivated Export Sales Manager (Belgium based) due to an upcoming retirement.



Solventis is a global distributor and manufacturer of chemicals, automotive fluids and aviation de-icing products.  It produces, stores, and distributes a wide range of bulk and packed chemicals from its state of the art terminal in Antwerp to a portfolio of customers in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. 


Since its creation in 2002 Solventis has experienced continuous growth to reach a turnover of €300 million in 2021 and currently employs 85 people over three locations in Belgium and the UK. 


Export Sales Manager Vacancy

Job Description

As Export Sales Manager, you will manage a small established sales team and deliver export sales to the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and North/South America, covering a product range including solvents, glycols and automotive fluids.  As well as managing an existing client base you will be expected to prospect actively for new customers and opportunities.  This will involve regular worldwide travel visiting customers and potential customers and attending trade events and exhibitions.

Liaising with our finance and logistics teams, you will monitor the financial viability of all transactions whilst ensuring that customer needs and high expectations are met wherever possible.



The successful candidate will have a proven and relevant record in the chemical export market and its complexities as well as experience in managing a team.  They will have a customer-focussed attitude whilst being forward thinking and excited about exploring new opportunities.  They should be willing to travel as the need arises and will speak English, Dutch and French.  Spanish would be advantageous. 



This exciting position is a permanent, full time role in our dynamic and successful organisation, based in our Antwerp office situated in the heart of the city (some home-working may be accommodated by arrangement).   We are offering a competitive salary according to experience, together with a company car plus benefits.
